The Calligrapher

Zhao is a classically trained calligraphy, engraving and hot foiling artist specialising in live event artistry and activations. She has worked with local and international brands, such as Tiffany & Co., Maserati and The Hour Glass, and regularly collaborates with clients across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and the Sunshine Coast.

The journey into the world of paper and ink began for Zhao during her childhood, spending countless hours creating projects as heartfelt gifts for her family and friends. Her passion for creativity was reignited in the lead-up to her wedding in 2018. To ensure her wedding day was truly unique, Zhao personally crafted place cards, vow books, and even paper bouquets, each item now cherished as a memento of that special day.

Motivated by the desire to share the magic and joy of paper and ink with others, Zhao founded Grey Lavender Calligraphy in 2022. Through her artistry, she helps brands to create lasting, personalised moments that foster genuine connections with clients.
